Four+ phone calls all with different information to get a signature on a physical form, followed by a "required" provider visit for the provider to listen to my son's heartbeat whilst he had a full EEG two weeks earlier and this information was provided to the office. Office staff says he has to have a chest xray and meningitis B vax but then the story changes during the four calls. Very unorganized. 2:20 appt that was confirmed on two calls ends up taking over an hour in the office. We are considering changing practices for... read more

It was a pleasant appointment from start to finish; entry to exit everyone. Dr. Payson Thompson is very easy to talk to; great listener and friendly Professional. I am fortunate to have him for my PCP. Several of my friends have expressed the same about Dr. Thompson. It’s a comfort to know that he is there for me. Thank you Dr. Thompson.

I was visiting my daughter, who works for Avance by the way. I showed her my back and right away she wanted it checked out. I was very surprised to learn that a doctor's office was open on Sundays and that they had an appointment available for me. The front desk was very professional and nice. When I was called back, everybody was very nice and friendly. The doctor just happened to have gone to WCU, which is 30 minutes from where I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
