Dr. Prakken's office lost power due to Hurricane Debby so to keep my appt, he drove home to use his personal computer instead of cancelling my appt! I was very surprised and grateful!!!

I LOVE the Drs. and my previous therapist (who kinda left out of nowhere). Front desk has two receptionist, but only one seems to be working. Other one is ALWAYS on a personal call. Not the most professional. My Ketamine injector makes me feel anxious and rushed, more so on Thursdays. Otherwise, Drs. Prakken and Mullet (Spravato Dr.) are awesome. I would recommend those two to my friends.

Deb, Brandon and Carlie are second to none when it comes to patient care. They have solid expertise and empathy for their patients. I cannot say enough about how exceptional Dr. Prakken was as a physician. His compassion, expertise, and genuine care made every visit reassuring, and I deeply miss his presence in my medical care. In stark contrast, my experience with his replacement, Dr. Marks, has been nothing short of a disaster. This new doctor’s approach is shockingly dismissive and reckless. The sum total of my 'screening' was having PA Kanisha Wint read the *exact same* questions that I answered on my intake form and have answered several times to other medical professionals. When I tried to add additional context or share more about my symptoms, I was met with dismissal and apparent boredom. I told everyone in the beginning, Dr.Chidgey, for reasons I can’t answer, has went out of her way to do maximum damage to me. I ALWAYS followed the rules, not one missed appointment in over a decade. She was bothered with some disability papers that she obviously didn’t appreciate, since then I can only assume, SHE FALSELY assumed, she could forget all of the rules and laws of medicine, treat me like a.nobody and lie on my records while doing it. Saw Kenisha 3 times and she acts like she doesn’t want to be there. I didn’t feel like she cared to help me with anything. Little to no communication on anything. It took them 3 weeks to get my record from my old doctor which is unheard of. I called 4 days in a row about it and they kept saying “yeah it’s not here yet” last time I saw her she yelled at me because I was upset and crying bc I was off my meds for a week. Has 0 compassion or empathy I do not know how she works with people who struggle with mental health

I came to Avance seeking new pain management after my pain management doctor lost his practice after I was with him for 15 years. I saw him for chronic back pain having had 4 lower back surgeries, 3 shoulder surgeries, hip replacement, now osteoporosis, arthritis and gout and I need knee replacement and foot surgery. But none of this was enough to consider me for similar pain medications to what I had received for 15 years.
