We ordered from the brunch menu, unfortunately my order was wrongly taken down so I had to wait to get mine and my friends had finished eating by the time mine came. I ordered the avocado on toast with two poached eggs. Good portion for the money. Eggs a bit over done. My husband got the traditional Scottish breakfast it was a bit small but tasty. We saw reviews for this restaurant as having the best Sunday roast in town. However, the portion was very small, most of the plate was the Yorkshire pudding which was probably just as well because otherwise there really wasn’t enough to eat. If the restaurant is after social media likes and hype, I have to say that I did NOT post to Instagram because I felt the plate looked a little sad - a massive Yorkshire pudding with not much else and price was not even that cheap - just could not post or recommend. Pros were a lovely main room, interesting if small menu, lovely food. Apart from some things not being available, including the wine we wanted I would recommend this for lunch or dinner; or even a cocktail or two.

We’ve been here a few times and always had great food and service. This time the food wasn’t so good, my wife’s burger being very undercooked (my fish and chips were fine though). I’ve always felt that any business can have issues (in this case due to the combination of busy kitchen, new staff and high customer numbers) and it’s how they get resolved that’s important. The food was great and the staff were really attentive. It’s a great spot with a lovely view of the castle if you sit outside.

Food was warm not hot.. one meal for one of the party was was delayed quite a few minutes after the others were brought to the table. Ordered hot chocolate which was barely warm. Staff member so in a rush didn't pay attention a lot of the time to requests we had to constantly get their attention. Doubt whether we'll be back

Don't go here for the food. If the quality would be 50% of the ambiance, this place would have two michelin stars. Unfortunately it is the opposit: the food is suprisingly untastefull: meat in stews is cooked instead of seared, so no matter how much salt you add, no flavour will ever emerge. First time at Badger &Co and was really impressed, lovely ambience and quiet even though busy, staff were very attentive without being overbearing. Food was delicious and overall a very pleasant dining experience.

Staff on bar and dining area were so friendly and welcoming. Food was great, over priced but that's Edinburgh for you! The vibe was a little disappointing the bar is really narrow and the seating was a tad uncomfy but that's just personal preference!
