Badger is losing its grip, as not enough staff, food just warm and pricing pricy. Pity ..

WE had a 7.30 pm booking at the start of the festival and were seated on arrival. The staff were attentive and the service was not too slow. Overall a nice experience in a very nice surroundings

I did enjoy my meal here but I feel it was fairly average. I felt it was trying to be excellent but didn't meet one's expectations. The place was very nice, clean and comfortable. But the food was fairly ordinary. The pea soup was not particularly hot and the Cullen Pie was not a pie at all but just a mash of fish and cheese, served with mashed potato - there was no other texture except mash. The venison was good though but not exceptional. I would still visit the restaurant again though. It wasn't that bad, except for the m... read more

Such disappointment. I was in Badger and Co two weeks ago and had an amazing meal but not this time. I won’t be going back. I wonder what happened? New chef? We were a table of 5. 2 people had scallops and 2 veg starters. Scallops were tiny and over cooked. The veg starter was consisted of very finally chopped veggies a small piece of cheese. It was very bland to a point it was not enjoyable. For mains we ordered 3 lambs, a steak and a burrata salad. The lambs were okish but the garnish were really really bad (polenta was s... read more

Great meal on a busy Saturday night. Waited about 50mins for the main course which we didn't really mind as it was all lovely. When the bill arrived the waitress had unexpectedly deducted 25% off the food because of the wait, without us even having said anything! Top marks for that!!! Would definitely recommend and we will be back!

Very loud lunchtime; seated in a small corner table next to a party of 12 plus having a rowdy Christmas party. Politely said we were leaving. Staff were polite but struggling with the busy service. Very Irritated to be reported to Opentable as “no show”.

Although we really enjoyed it - a few of us have been back in Oct when it was a different deal which was much better. You don't get half as much food with the new deal and it costs more. Our bill came which was completely wrong so thankfully we had checked it first. I would still go back for drinks but overall I was disappointed with the brunch.

Visited with two friends on a Friday night. Very quiet when we arrived but then got very busy, hence the deterioration in service I imagine (though not to an alarming extent). The food and wine were lovely and good value considering the location. Lovely interior too. Would definitely go again.
