When the cornerstone for Barley Creek Brewing Company was laid in 1792, it marked the start of what would become one of the most historic buildings in America. The building would eventally grow to include 132 rooms, 35 bathrooms, 28 fireplaces, a tennis court, swimming pool, movie theatre and bowling alley. Oh, wait… that’s the White House. Hey, we’re sure the White House is a nice place and all, but we’re just saying… we’d rather be at Barley Creek. Okay, here’s the official histo... read more

We keep coming back! A good bar atmosphere, dining rooms for food, or the pint size outdoor park for the whole family. This place is huge, tourist trap for sure, but they do a good job with service and food. I take all our guests here with confidence, everyone loves it
Business response:
Thanks, Ashley, for the Five-Star shout out. The Pint Size Park and Biergarten is certainly one of kind. Not too many places have a legit regulation size wiffle ball stadium. When the weather is good guests can also enjoy our campsite dining at our S'mores concept.
12/3/22 First time here yesterday and apparently this is right near camelback ski resort. We ducked in here for lunch- on my friends recommendation. This is a brewery and I think my husband would enjoy it here. They have lots of growlers at all different price points. The menu isn't cheap by any means. I think 18$ for macaroni and cheese is a bit steep. My friend ordered a side of it and I did try some and it was delicious! I tried the wood fired pizza- the margarita specialty for 14.50. The crust was buttery, garlicky d... read more

Thanks for the thoughtful review and I appreciate your business and support and openness to make it back here with a beer drinker. (We do have a distillery and a wine expanded permit for everyone else). We know what our costs are, and our business model is geared to paying members of the team well. The goal is to have a manager who can see that a given server might not be as perceptive as they need to be with respect to checking in / table touching. Respectfully, Trip R.
I was visiting Mount Pocono for the weekend with my boyfriend. We came here for dinner and it was delicious! The pretzel appetizer was amazing. I got the stuffed trout for dinner and it was one of the best things i've ever eaten. YUM!
Business response:
Thanks, Lauren, for finding Barley Creek - The stuffed trout got taken off the winter menu (which we just rolled out). I am delighted you liked it as that's also one of my favorites. Will keep your review in mind for the Spring and Summer menu roll out. :) and really glad you have a good time at the Creek. Cheers. Trip R.
Barley Creek definitely seems like the place to be in the area. We went on a Friday Night, and the huge parking lot was packed. Upon entering, we were told there would be about a 40 minute wait. This was not a problem since we were a group of 9. We were able to hangout near one of the bars and order some drinks and appetizers while waiting for our table to be ready. Once our table was ready, we were seated at a few high top tables put together. There were plenty of TVs around with all different things on each one. T... read more

Thanks Dallas - Appreciate the shout out. We enjoy hospitality and are always working on figuring out - how do we create a fun - memorable experience for our guests every time. Start with Good Food - Good Drinks - Good Service - Good Atmosphere and then kick it up a notch!! Cheers - Trip R.
Barley Creek is one of the big food/drink spots in this are. There's a huge parking lot that was pretty full on a Friday night. When we got there we had to wait about 40 minutes for a table for 9. While waiting we were able to sit at one of the two bars and order drinks/appetizers Overall, the food was 5 stars, there's plenty of beer options, plenty of TVs to watch sports, and the bartender/waitresses were pleasant
Business response:
Thanks Kyle - We still like to think of ourselves as a small distillery / brewery - but on weekends it can get busy. Appreciate the four-star shout out. It's fun when we get it right. Cheers - Trip R.
I just moved to Tannersville and this is starting to become my go to place for a beer. Good prices. Solid beer. Nice staff. Great atmosphere.
Business response:
Thanks Sea - Fantastic!!! Have you visited our Tasting Room down at the Crossings? Also the 1818 Deli & Catering Company (formally the Sullivan Kitchen) is out newest project that should be a lot of fun too. If you have not done so already - we have a Mug Club - loyalty program that has a lot of fun perks that work across all of the Barley Creek concepts! Cheers - Trip R.
Couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised! After an awful experience at our hotel restaurant, we decided to give Barley Creek a go. Not only was the service 1000xs better, so was the food! The prices were reasonable and their espresso martini was amazing. We will definitely stop back next time we're in the area! They don't take reservations, but the wait on a Friday night was a modest 30mins. Not bad at all for a party of five. Katie was absolutely lovely and service was excellent!
Business response:
This is one of my favorite reviews because of the staff shout out for Katie. :)
We eat here for breakfast and dinner when we stay at Mountain Springs. Both are great. Service is excellent and a nice selection of food. Pretzel appetizer is very good. I find the beer just ok, always seems sorta flat to me. Cocktails are good. Nice atmosphere, definitely recommend.
Business response:
Mt Springs is a great place. Thanks for finding Barley Creek. We recently took over the Deli on our road so look for good things to come from there soon - The 1818 Deli and Catering Company! Thanks Eric for your support and the five-star shout out. Cheers - Trip R.
Stopped here after going to Camel Back, based on other recommendations. It was just okay! The 3 stars are for the waitress, Dasha, she was great, her service was very good. Really wanted to try the Breweries Barley Creek Octoberfest, but they didn't have any left on tap, how do you not have enough of your own brand on tap. Had to try another brand, which was okay! The food was very average and was not hot enough. French onion soup was good. Halloween decorations were cool.
Business response:
Thanks for visiting and thanks for letting me know about your experience. When things don't go as planned Dasha is our first line of defense. She could have certainly figured out food temps to more your liking. Oktoberfest - almost made it to November. It was really good and we brewed more this year than previous years - note to the brewers - please don't run out of Oktoberfest until at least November. The beer list is pretty extensive and hope you found one you liked. Our Halloween decorations are really impressive. ... read more
