About this business

When the cornerstone for Barley Creek Brewing Company was laid in 1792, it marked the start of what would become one of the most historic buildings in America. The building would eventally grow to include 132 rooms, 35 bathrooms, 28 fireplaces, a tennis court, swimming pool, movie theatre and bowling alley. Oh, wait… that’s the White House. Hey, we’re sure the White House is a nice place and all, but we’re just saying… we’d rather be at Barley Creek. Okay, here’s the official histo... read more

Came here for dinner with my partner and family. It was simple but well made american fare. The pulled pork sandwiches were delicious (definitely upgrade to french fries! Theyre great.) and the chicken sandwich was good too. The Beer Cheese soup was just alright, but it hit the spot and proved to be a nice french fry dip. Great cocktails and beer selection.

Business response:

Thanks Christopher - Agree with you on the upgrade to fries - I like the sweet potato fry option. Cheers - Trip R.

What a nice place! The tiny park was great. Their hours were quite varied. They got some of our to go order wrong but they squared it up! Good drinks, great atmosphere!

Business response:

Appreciate the review Moira, and really get a kick out of when the team (who normally gets it right) steps up and "fixes" things they need to fix. Cheers - Trip R.

Went to Barley Creek for the weekend breakfast. Was it good....it was just average. Any place can cook an egg and a muffin. I would have thought potatoes would have been homemade hash browns, but tbhey were just the standard cubed potatoes(something from a bag) Had a latte' but not the best. Way to milky, need lessons from Starbucks on this one. I had the classic breakfast which I thought was going to be poached eggs but instead they make them sunnyup. My mistake on reading it but if they were poached it would have made thi... read more

This is a regular stop when we go to Camelback - summer or winter. We love their breakfast and their dinner didn't disappoint either. Last time we went we made dinner out of drinks and appetizers which was basically different varieties of cheese and bread. You can't go wrong here. The onion soup was very good as well. Get a cocktail - they make their own spirits. Worth the stop!!

Business response:

Thanks Jessica - Really appreciate the four star shout out. The distillers are doing well crafting spirits. The Blueberry 11:01 Vodka won a silver medal from the ADI (American Distillers Institute) something we are very proud of. If there weren't still a fairly healthy staffing shortage, we would be able to open for break more than just on the weekends. Thanks - Cheers - Trip R.

Great beer, great food and good atmosphere. Had a nice little gift shop too. If your in the Poconos this is a place you should check out.

Business response:

Thanks Jax for the five star shout out. We opened in 1995 and have not stopped trying to get it right and get it a little better every day. Cheers - Trip R.

This place has hands down the best nachos I've ever had!! My husband and I took our two kids here, and every dish was great. Nachos and garlic buffalo wings to start. Then he got the hangover burger - sunny side up egg and bacon cheeseburger. I had the French dip. Both were served with fries and were quite delicious. They have a huge selection of in house brewed beers and spirits that you can have in just about any cocktail you can imagine. We were not expecting much but ended up being really surprised.

Business response:

Love this review and will be sharing with the team along with my appreciation for their commitment to hospitality! Thanks Trip R.

We were on vacation and needed a place nearby for dinner. We found the Barley Creek Brewing Company and gave it a try. The best nachos! Everyone loved their meals but the nachos and burgers were amazing! Must try!

This place is so amazing! They have live entertainment, great food, tons of games and activities for kids of all ages and adults, and a beautiful setting. The sight of the Pocono mountains and sunsets from here are magical. I'm so glad I picked this place as my go to while on a short trip to Pennsylvania.

The menu has a big variety. Unfortunately they were out of several beers we wanted to try on the night we were there. The nachos are definitely worth getting. The French dip and steak & cheese were not good but the pulled pork was very good. They were able to accommodate a food allergy which was great!
