I have had NOTHING but positive experiences with the dentist, the receptionists, the hygienists, the dental assistant. I WOULD recommend him with no hesitation what so ever. He is excellent with children. I am an elementary school teacher. He came to my school -Glen Springs and was wonderful with our students. He related to them and more importantly they related to him. I love them. They have become part of our family. Each time we come in we are well cared for and respected. My kids love going to the dentist office.
Very quesable when it comes to how you are charged , to many young and inexperienced girls doing the books , which leads overcharged accounts and wrong codes when making totals on payments and what your insurance covers. The dental work was also horrible I would think twice and get a second opinion. When asked for a treatment plans and write up for cost that I was overcharged . I never got one and I reported them to my insurance provider.
Do NOT take your young children to this man!! He came out today and blamed me for my 6 year old being scared in which was totally uncalled for. I told my 6 year old he was going to fix her teeth, nothing more nothing less. He looked at my 6 year old and told her he had 4 year olds behave better than her. Awful rude unprofessional man.
ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!!!!! Please go somewhere else. Rude, arrogant, lying, belligerent and defensive. I've NEVER been treated so poorly by a dentist.
Very rude dr and staff this is not a kid friendly place and with all the things that goes on in this world today what parent would let a young child go with any dr by themselves these people at this office don't have any skills whatsoever dealing with there patients needs because they simply don't care. The main problem I HAD here was not being allowed in the back with my child. This is NOT common practice. Its one of very few places that takes medicaid so expect to wait forever to be seen. Will refer your kids elsewhere if he doesnt want to deal with the problem of why theyre there. Will try to tell you there are problems that arent there..as in your child wont sit still...or they need sedation..took them to kids only dental..no sedation..sat there with no problem..and I was allowed in the back!
Like many other commenters, Dr. Hughes told me that I had gingivitis and needed a deep cleaning that would cost over $400. I've gone to the dentist every 6 months for nearly my entire life and have never had a dentist tell me this before. I also waited a very long time and was not told that my visit was only a consultation. I drove over 30 minutes across town expecting a basic cleaning and left when he refused to provide that to me. My child is 4 years old. DR. Hughes wouldn't allow me to go with my 4 yrs old to the back. My son was resistant in going. I assure my son that I am only seconds away and I will responding if I heard anything. I'd even promised my son a toy car. My son decided to go with the nurse to the back without me; only for the nurse to return telling me that Dr. Hughes wanted to speak to me.
