The Big Boy fries and soup and salad bar are my staple choices, soup choices are all go and the big boy hits the spot.
I love going here for the salad buffet. I always like everything I've tried so far. The service is at times slow but not to bad usually. All in all it's a nice quiet place to dine.
Typical Big Boy cuisine in a typical Big Boy atmosphere. The staff has always been friendly and food has been consistently good. The restaurant is reasonably clean and the service is reasonably fast. The breakfast food would be 4 stars on its own, but the rest of the menu brings this down to a solid 3 stars (I would have gone 3.5 stars if I had that option). I've never had a bad meal there. I also can't think of GREAT meal I've had there. Good food at a good price, so it always meets my expectations.
Don't let anyone tell you different, Big Boy is damn good. My experiences I've had solid attentive service. Burgers, Slim Jim, Breakfast Slim Jim + breakfast buffet are the way to go. There's is more on the menu (soup, pasta, salads), but have not been enough times to try it all. Obviously, this isn't 5 star dining but for what it is, it's good stuff.
I'm kind of a regular customer so I pretty much know what to expect when I walk in. Some days the staff are cold and aloof ( or maybe just busy). Some days they are friendly and take the time to talk with you. I never see anyone watching the big screen televisions so maybe it was a bad investment? It's getting pricey to eat there but if you are careful what you order, you will do ok.
Was looking for a good meal, haven't had big boy in forever so decided to swing in and let me tell you i'm not a review person I was raised to never complain with my mouth full but this place sucks! Poor quality, Poor service, didn't even get my fries that came with the meal! straight joke.

need to close this big boys DOWN DOWN DOWN with this being said!! nice small town you would surely think it would be better with so many Big Boys closeing down they dont seam to care so nither will I good by big boys. !!!

Came in on a Friday night about 6:30. Only two waitresses working and it was very busy. Waited for quite some time for my husband's omelette. I had a bowl of soup that looked like it was from the bottom of the container. Another table that got seated at the same time was waiting for their food only to be told they didn't have what had been ordered. I would think the staff should know ahead of time what was available. Not sure we will be back again which is sad because it's the only Big Boy in the area.
My wife and I ate here November 26, 2024, They had a special where they were selling their burgers for $.99 with a drink. I ordered a large order of onion rings and my wife a large order of fries. The burgers left a lot to be desired. The portion of fries was about equal to a child's order at McDonald's and cost $2.99. The ice teas were $3.29 each. The onion rings order wasn't that big and cost $5.99. Very disappointing! Glad we didn't pay full price for the burgers!
