In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. The food was good once we got our order. Placed our order for five people and then after noticing everyone around us, that came in after we did, was eating and even some were leaving already. Just as we were trying to get our waitresses attention, she arrived at the table to let us know that our order had gotten lost and that she would have to take it again. That was after almost an hour had passed. The manager did give our niece a 20% discount but I don't think that was enough. Very disappointed.
I waited over 30 minutes for one of the "Little less" meals with a large orange juice To go , paying almost $14. The hostess was so rude. When I finally got my food it was missing one strip of bacon (comes with 2 strips) and no plastic ware and my large orange juice was missing to! It took another 5 minutes + to get it corrected. These folks really need to take a lesson from the Tempe location!!

And anytime we were speaking directly to her (and asking her for something that she forgot) she would roll her eyeballs, like we were bothering her. If I decided to go back I refuse to have her as a waitress.

Food was ok, wouldn't rush back. The cost of the extras, overpriced
The food was extremely delicious and the pancakes were better than ihop and denny's. The workers there were very polite and caring. Our food came really fast too. (From Lori Peterson and Savannah Peterson :) )
The food was ok..not as good as the one on the way to L.A. the restaurant smelled awful,musty moldy smell and sewage smell in bathroom which was dirty. Did not enjoy our meal but did devour the amazing cream pies we took home. We probably will not go again. Disappointing to say the least...
