I drove by this place all the time. I love Black Bears and country cooking. So I stopped and gave it a try. The restaurant was clean and well cared for. My young waitress was awesome, Sharp and very considerate. She got the order correct. Unfortunately the food let us both down. Maybe because it was late at night, it was after 8pm. the service was good, the salad dressing burned my throat to the point that i was choking (im not sure why) thousand island dressing. my steak was tasty and cooked right but every bite except one i had to spit out fat or grissle, the green beans were very tough and chewy. i told the manager about it. he said he was sorry but did nothing further. it was the first time we had been there. all total a sad and disappointing and money wasting experience.

As always, the service was wonderful, but the food was terrible. Black Bear has been my "go to" for breakfast place for a couple years. The quality of the food has been steadily declining in my last several visits. I think yesterday was my last meal from there.

Go to Denny's... At least when u go there u know ur pay for what u get. I also see that BB has adopted the business model of same price less food (there is no value coming here). Also the over all quality of the food has gone down... So it will be breakfast at Denny's for this family. The servers r still good ppl...

Only been there a few times, this is where my son wanted his bday lunch, I called in so I wouldn't have to wait to long. Got in quick, customer service was great and so was the food! One small complaint....we needed two extra sets of silverware which was brought, well the knife had a chunk of something on it so we just put it aside, well my daughter had picked up her knife and we thought she picked up the dirty one, nope it was a second dirty knife with a chunk in the same spot! We didn't say anything
