In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Our visit didn’t start really good we wait of front for 5 minutes and finally the hostess took us to our table and for been our first time it the Lakewood location it wasn’t not good but the food and the service make the deference in this location after all everything went good

Quality and Quantity of food were great. Service was stellar and manager, waiter, hostess all felt like family. Enjoyed the left overs the next night. My wife and I will be back with our college age daughters. Next time we will try the desserts. They look amazing.

Very busy restaurant. Family and military friendly. I miss them being in Olympia. Food is always great. The portions are huge. Wait staff was very fast and friendly. A good value no matter what you order.
