Was there Tuesday with my in-laws. We were celebrating the end of my FIL cancer treatment and recent news of being cancer free. They traveled all the way from MI to visit us at JBLM and celebrate. The treatment left him with very dry mouth and up until very recently he couldn’t even eat without a feeding tube. He has discovered that he can eat with the help of things like gravy and syrup. Good Dining experience.....the meatloaf and mash potatoes was good, the portions are big, plus the gravy was bomb! and our waitress was very nice......the atmosphere was fun, all types of people.....spacious and comfortable. It was a nice experience

Tried Breakfast and found it to be bland tasting and way too much starch like potatoes. the menu item said large portions, but i only found the hashbrowns being large portion along with the 2 giant pancakes everything else ordered was small to average size. The French toast was awful and soggy. The bacon was too salty and the ham was of bad quality and 1/2 the portion size that other establishments would offer. Only thing good was the glass of milk (except for the $3 price for a small glass of milk), and the Pancakes. The ov... read more

Garden burger was literally hard as a rock , after a 40 minute wait for our food!! Got a whoppin 10% discount. Yippie!! HORRIBLE! Waiter was nice though. I'll give them that.
We were very disappointed when after a weekly visit we were charged 1.29 for a "little" extra gravy...it's not much I know but seriously 1.29?

Went on Sunday for dinner was told they are almost out of everything, got the feeling the waitress wanted to leave early. Got up and left I have been to three different black bear diners this on was a disapointment.
