In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. OMG that breakfast buritto was so hot and spicy I could not eat it! Waiter just laughed at me and said "yes it is spicy "!
We went Father's Day about 7 p.m. While the food was good, the service could have been better. First, the server forgot one of our salads. When our food came out, 2 meals were delivered. Then the server helped another server with their drinks before bringing out the other 2 meals. One of our meals was missing a side. We also got a to-go order. Sorry but we have been here twice before and it was great, Mike is a great waiter and always remembers us but yesterday we went there for lunch, we were seated and the woman told us that we would be helped as soon as possible, we waited over 15 mins and no one came to our table, she walked by twice and didnt ask us if we had been helped, no-one came over at all in the entire time, I checked in at 3:27 and we left at 3: 45. Was way exited to check out the new diner over in front of the outlet mall. 2pm craving some breakfast. They weren't bizy at all... I ordered... waited almost 30min 12 of those saw my food sitting under the heat lamp, 2 employees including my waitress looked at it, then walked away, she came over and said ur food is almost ready. I said I sure hope so, Then she went back to the same plate, picked it up and brought it to me. Of course it was cold... wow very disappointing since I love their food and usually the service too.... read more
