in the bay area this is one of my favorite places to eat. At this location there was nobody in the restaurant but it took a really long time for our food to come and there was barely any hollandaise sauce on my eggs benedict. My food was also a little bit cold but I was too hungry to send it back. The food itself was delicious, and our server was really nice.
Sat down and waited 15 minutes for coffee and water. Received my breakfast and no butter on my toast. I had to ask for butter. Pancakes were not cooked enough and were raw. Didn't fill up the coffee cup had to flag down a waitress. Waiter wasn't friendly. I will not recommend to no one.
We have been to other locations and always have great experiences, but this location is different. Dirty utensils in the set up, served cold food and intestinal distress that night. This location just doesn't live up to the Black Bear name and standard.

Service was good. Food was bland even by my standards. Overpriced for mediocre food (hollandaise was flat, English muffins were doughy) and slow service.
