Went today for the first time. It will be the last time. I got potato soup and the roast turkey dinner with steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes. To start, the potato soup was barely warm. I thought oh well, my meal will be better but it just got worse. I got he turkey, mashed potatoes and vegetables, which were all cold so I sent them back. Got the steak and eggs. Ordered the steak medium rare and was given a well done steak. I saw no pink in that puck. My eggs were overcooked too. The food smelled good though, and the potatoes were great.
I honestly thought this place was over-rated. They have a lot of menu items that appeal to me, particularly breakfast and desserts. The restaurant was clean and the server was very nice. I just thought the food was sub-par. I got the same thing I get at every breakfast food place: Scrambled eggs with American cheese, bacon, and pancakes with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Well got here early to miss the crowd, what a bad idea 3 tables ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs and Jamie got the hobo omelette no Spinach, everything came out cold and the omelette was covered in spinach. The three servers were to busy chatting to refill coffee and water. When Jamie’s omelette back they just pulled the spinach out and left a fair amount in there still.
