RecommendedFood wasn't bad. The chicken fried steak had more of a frozen taste to it.
Was really looking forward to trying your food which was very good but your service was Terrible. We walked in and 3 of your employees were at your podium with their backs to the door talking. We stood there while they talked and were completely ignored. I finally said excuse me and they turned around and took how many people we wanted a table for. After eight minutes of waiting,we finally had to ask for someone to take our drink order, water. There was nothing special about the food. My husband's order was wrong but they did correct it. The baked potato was cold but they got him a new one. They forgot his au jus but did bring it out when he asked for it. The sour cream was horseradish but they replaced it In all fairness, they did remove his meal from the bill. Obviously, try it if you want but I am in no hurry to return nor take a guest.
I have had some bad experiences in restaurants, but this one was horrible. I will not go back. Even the manager all but called me a liar, he said the waiter told him he brought the right order and I refused it, when it wasn’t even close to what I had ordered. He acted like he was doing me a favor by taking the food I never got off the bill. I wouldn’t even give this place a one star rating, is it possible to give a negative star review? In this case I would go with a -3.
Horrible experience...food was decent at best, my husband never got his food, the order was completely wrong...not even in the realm of what he ordered. The second time the waiter came back with the wrong food, my husband just said forget it....another at our table did not get what she ordered either, but was afraid of saying anything because my husband could never get his food corrected. waitress was not that attentive and was short ...i wont be back
I expected it to be home cooked food and my chicken fried steak was not. It was more of a frozen patty. Too many items on the menu contained mushrooms. Did not have regular Ranch dressing. Who doesn't have plain Ranch dressing? The service was very, very slow. I was so excited to try Black Bear Diner and then was very disappointed.
