I went to black bear diner with a friend right after they opened and it was a great experience, I've also been there 5 times since then and each of those times was terrible. you say on the menu you get a lot of food, that's a lie. the first time there I got a sandwich and it was great, I'd have rated it a 9+ out of 10, the sandwiches and omelette I've had since then I'd rate a 3 out of 10. first sandwich came with 2 slices of bread and was made really well, the sandwiches after that came with 3 slices of bread, and an inch o... read more
LOGAN, UT Your CONTACT US link on your web site, is not working. I needed to order 4 party trays for 48 people. Could not send you the email information. My guess this would have been $200.00 +
This is our second visit in three weeks. The service was very slow. The hashbrowns were mushy and the pancakes were overcooked. The first table was sticky and the placemats were stuck to the surface. We just moved to another table. There were only two other diners at the time so we had lots of tables to choose from. I think the hashbrowns were leftovers from the day before. They had very little texture. The cook's music was as loud as the store music. You should choose one or the other. Since I prefer my music in English I s... read more
My husband and I are retired restaurant owners, and food and beverage over five western states. We found the food to be done to perfection, pleasing to the eye, and on our arrival Dominic taking our order with, a smile. In a timely fashion, making us to fill at home and welcome.. Thank You Larry and Vickie Lloyd
We love the Black Bear Diner however on January 1st we brought our family of 7 (Children and Spouses) to eat at the diner and I didn't realize it until we got home that we didn't get our soups or salads with our dinner. I know they were busy that night and we were very patient. I wondered why it took so long to get our food. After I got home I realize the reason that it seemed so long is because we didn't have the soup or salad while waiting for the main course to come. I'm a little upset that we paid for this but didn't g... read more
The person that is supposed to seat us is standing at the bar talking to friend or family or someone who is definitely more important than us. We finally get sat and then the next people have to wait 5 min for the hostess to finish her conversation to be seated. Her attitude is terrible. After that the service and food was great.
We were a party of 4, arrived @ 8pm 9/28/18. Restaurant was not crowded but it took 15 minutes to be seated. We ordered & it was 30 minutes before we got our food. I ordered a well done hamburger, it came rare. I sent it back & 15 minutes later I got it back. The fries were cold. The French dip beef was so tough that my friend couldn’t eat it. The Reuben sandwich was almost burnt, my other friend scraped the bread. Only one of my party had a decent meal. Since we were traveling through, needless to say we won’t be back.
We arrived with a group of 6 at 7:30 p.m. and were seated right away. It was not very busy, many empty tables. We waited 15 minutes to have our order taken. 10 minutes later 1 of our 4 milkshakes arrived. Our dinner was served at 8:30 for all but one in our party. 5 minutes into the meal another shake arrived, 15 minutes after that the 3rd came. Our 6th meal (a hamburger) and the last milkshake showed up at 9:00! The food was very tasty but we are reluctant to go again because the service was so poor. I delayed in sending th... read more
This is not in regards to service right now, this is in regards to how this store is ran with employees. I have a family member that was just told that due to all the food that was being thrown away at night they are letting him go. He started as dishwasher and one of the managers said that they needed help on "prep". He jumped and offered to help out and bail out the manager. They then also lowered his pay which I have no idea why and he was too quiet to ask why and just went on doing his job. He has asked about more ... read more
