The "Mac and Cheese" side dish was disgusting, it was just some Penne noodles doused in a runny cheese sauce. The "Melt in Your Mouth" smoked Brisket was the definition of undercooked bacon. Also, when you claim on your weird Newspaper menus that the dish is "Loaded with Fries" and barely put any on the plate, it's called false advertisement. At least the wait staff was nice, and the starter cornbread muffin was tasty, but we will never dine at your Modesto location again unless major changes are made. One and done.

This was not what I expect from black bear dinner. I sat at the counter and watched the servers struggle with a bad kitchen staff. There was no one attending and greeting customers. Bacon was cold!! Very dissapointed.

I love black bear I go there all the time but the last few time I went the restaurant was not it’s cleanest and they actually tried to seat me in a table that was dirty twice. I got the French toast and it was so soggy and under cook I have had an upset stomach for two days now. I will be going to Huckleberrys every Saturday from now on until Black bears changes.

i give 2 stars went with my family today for lunch and service was horrible. never had a bad experience until today. service was super slow and they were not even busy. had to ask a waitress we were ready to order after sitting there for 15 minutes for someone and took over 30 minutes for our order to come out on top of my nieces order being wrong cuz they ordered a second kids pizza when she ordered chicken strips. so we all got our food while she had to wait for her to get made. like i said been there multiple times before... read more
