In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. It was their first week and they were very busy. But service was attentive and food was good. They've done a great job of maintaining their menu and character from the original I've been to in Mt. Shasta.
As a family we have been enjoying stopping at Black Bear on our I5 trips to California. Having one in home town makes some happy kids. Food is great. This Newberg location has to be the biggest BBD. Looks great guys!

A great opening day! Staff was very friendly, food was good (like all Black Bear Diners). If you haven't been to one, give it a try for some home style cookin'
