In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. My wife and I dined here Friday evening around 8:00 on May 17, 2019. We are on a road trip and the Black Bear was next to our hotel, the St. George Inn. We were promptly seated and server Samuel was snappy and on the ball. He was very courteous and attentive. The food was great as well, so this dining experience was a win win for us. If we’re ever in the area again we’ll definitely stop in for dinner.
