In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. This establishment is outstanding! The food is amazing and the staff is great! Tory got 14 of us sat in a matter of minutes and Tracey was a great waitress no one ever had a empty glass and no mistakes on order! Love this place!!!!

Our family took hubby and me there for brunch today to celebrate my birthday. Yes, there was a wait. It was Sunday morning and lots of people had either heard about or had experienced the BBD, and now we know why the wait. Food, service (our waitress didn't miss a thing, and even made special accommodations for a couple of young people with us whose meals were slightly delayed) , atmosphere, everything was wonderful -- and PLENTIFUL!
