In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. RecommendedAs usual the food was great and it came in a timely fashion, and our server Sage was very attentive. On the negative side, we had a table that was wobbly and we had to ask three different times to three different people to have something done about it. When we were finally moved, we were moved to another wobbly table. Not as bad, but still wobbly. Other than that, everything was good. Glad to have a Black Bear Diner in Tucson. The building inside could be a little bigger.
The portions are as such...you won't need a second entree....just a second beverage (y)
Excellent food and huge portions!!!! The best breakfast we have had in Tucson in years!!!!! We were there this morning. There was a line to wait, but not un"bearable". The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food AMAZING!!! Portions HUGE!!!! I would give it 7 stars if I could.

It was very good but a lot of food, can definitely share and they don't charge for that. Service was good and prompt as was food. We have gone twice in a week, can't really complain about anything.
