Great down home place with good comfort food. I had the roasted carved turkey dinner. Nice fun atmosphere. 1st time visiting.
Black Bear Diner has become a vacation tradition in our family, many years ago we stumbled upon This diner in Carmel we were so amazed at the great food we have always come back and this was some 15 years ago there wasn't nearly as many as there are now . We live in Los Angeles now they are all over . There isn't anything better then coming down from camping and having a great meal at BBD!! Our food was great!!
Customer service and the atmosphere are always top notch, just like the food. Been going here for years, and not once have I felt the service was subpar. Their New York is a steal!
Depending on where you are seated and the time of day the noise level can be great which makes it hard to visit. The service is always excellent. I wish they would put a regular Chef Salad on the menu and not just the Tuna Chef.
The food is good,the salads are great.and the music is the best.
My husband & I have breakfast there almost every Saturday. Love the food. The staff are the best, very friendly & accommodating. I get something different all the time, my husband sticks to the steak & eggs. Our drinks are at the table before we get settled in. Absolutely love this place & people. �
