In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Depending on where you are seated and the time of day the noise level can be great which makes it hard to visit. The service is always excellent. I wish they would put a regular Chef Salad on the menu and not just the Tuna Chef.
The food is good,the salads are great.and the music is the best.
My husband & I have breakfast there almost every Saturday. Love the food. The staff are the best, very friendly & accommodating. I get something different all the time, my husband sticks to the steak & eggs. Our drinks are at the table before we get settled in. Absolutely love this place & people. �
