there was a hair in my hash browns this morning and only the hash browns we're comped! The right thing to do would be to comp the meal. in order for that to happen a hair had to be found in each item you ordered. sad black bear, sad
So it’s 4:20 pm on Christmas Day. Decided to have dinner at Black bear vacaville .....first they gave me the wrong drink , The best boy had to track down a waitress to take our order. She told us they were out of vegetable options it was only green beans . Chose option as a dinner salad and cornbread then she tells us oh sorry out of corn bread ..no Christmas special. so we ordered chicken Parmesan. she comes back 10-15 minutes later to let us know. OUT OFCHICKEN PARM. Decided no on Black bear

This is the 5th time or more we have had issues with ordering for pick up and I’m no longer ordering from here. Tonight one of the dinners didn’t come with what was included (not the first time it’s happened). My dinner came with one slice of bread toasted and falling apart. The other 3 slices were not toasted. Bacon is not fresh, only on one slice of the bread was there a ok amount of mayonnaise. I don’t know what’s going on the past 6 plus months but the quality for pick up has been horrible. It wasn’t like this before.

Recommendednormally I dont have any complaints about this place, but this time my sweet potato fries were completely soaked in oil and there was about 1 tsp of shredded cheddar on my burger. blah

RecommendedWe absolutely love Black Bear diner - just not the Vacaville location!! There must be new management at this location because it has gone downhill fast. Our visit started out with a waitress that had been working for 13 hours straight. There was total confusion on whether they even had tri-tip available for the blazing Bear sandwich’s. My 1st time going there. The food was good, but the service was horrible. We asked our waitress of she was new. She said no, that she had been there for years. She asked questions about sides and salad dressing, etc.... but didn't give us our choices. She also never checked back to see how our food was. Not sure if I will go back.

My husband and I were there for dinner, it wasn't the best, I ordered chicken Parmesan, and there was no flavor at all, the vegetables tasted like old, I will go for breakfast but not for dinner!
