Service was no good. Started ok, place my order the Prime Rib special and my drink at the same time. The salad came out. The waitress was no where to be seen. Then the Prime Rib came out(someone else brought it out not the waitress) and I was still eating the salad. After 5 minuets final seen the Manger wave him to my table and showed him that I was still eating my salad and the Prime Rib was on the table getting cold and that I have not received my Ice Tea. I’ve eaten at Black Bear Diners in California, Oregon, and Washington for years. Always good food. I even bought a bottle of their hot sauce to take home. But .... Yesterday morning I tried the Huevos Rancheros. They weren’t good. The biggest drawback was they use crispy corn tortillas as the bad. Ugh. It just spoiled the texture of the entire meal. I’ll be back for the othe breakfast items, of course. But I’ll warn others away from the Huevos Rancheros.

Taste like they need to change the grease.. The potatoes tasted like they dropped in grease ..Red potatoes should never taste that way .. kills the excitement of red potatoes ..

Absolute worst black bear I’ve ever eaten at. All of our food was cold. Pancakes were crispy. Got 1 cup of coffee for $2.69?? Couldn’t even get a refill after complaining about the cold nasty food. Never ever again will I come to this place. Worst service ever. I tip very well but I didn’t tip anything on this. I’ve never had an experience like this at a black bear. Not sure how this one is still open.

First visit to BBD in Vallejo and will never easy there again. Wait time was expected due to it being a Sunday morning but our waitress was bad. We had slow service, never checked on, dirty plates stayed on our table for about 20 mins. When she finally came around. Two people were still eating and she asked us they needed boxes for their food. WTH????
