Not so good Tired B&B that doesn't live up to expectations. Skip the afternoon wine/snacks (that is if you there are any left), good luck finding coffee/tea in the morning. Don't ask for milk for your coffee at breakfast if you want to keep the owners smiling. Bad art abounds.
Everything about your Inn and staff and wonderful breakfasts was perfect. So sorry we had to lave early. Your decor was perfect throughout. I grew up in a 1895 home so I was very comfortable. Radiators were standard throughout. Thank you for your hospitality. Pat Dube
Best breakfast ever! We celebrated our 49th anniversary here. The staff is friendly and gave solid advice on dinner spots, entertainment and other places to visit in the area. BUT the breakfasts were wonderful, creative, and delicious. Frank is an enthusiastic host with funny personal stories, adding to the total experience.
We have a truck and parking was difficult for us The hotel and staff were very nice and accommodating. My only negative was that our cottage was so musty. I have allergies and it gave me a headache the whole stay. Even the towels had the musty smell in them
Wonderful get away! My husband and I stayed at the 1889 WhiteGate Inn & Cottage for a quick anniversary trip. This was our first trip to a Bed & Breakfast. We absolutely loved our stay there! We booked a couples massage in our room. It was wonderfully relaxing! The B&B was quiet, the staff was very helpful and great to be around!!
Beautiful Property Our 2nd time here at Whitegate. Beautiful accommodations and grounds. Breakfast with dessert is awesome. Will definitely be back again.
Great experience and great location! My only complaint was the AC unit was a little loud and made it hard to sleep. Other than that zero complaints. We loved the food and the owner and the room was very nice.
10 year anniversary trip! We spent 3 nights in the oscar Wilde suite for our 10 year anniversary celebration. We could not have asked for a more hospitable, beautiful, and comfortable stay. Frank, Ralph, and the entire staff were spot on with service, advice, and knowledge of the city, and the food was SUPERB! I'm still missing my 3 course breakfasts! An inn not to miss! Our 2 night stay at the 1889 Whitegate Inn was exceptional. The inn is lovely as are the grounds even though spring had not yet sprung! Frank, Ralph, Thomas and Crystal were marvelous hosts and very entertaining as well. Breakfast is the best ever and is creatively presented...kudos to the chef! The afternoon social offers wonderful food and wine...don't miss this! The inn's location is very convenient to downtown Asheville...an easy walk. So much to see & do,
