I’m really quite displeased with how much BMW of Wilmington has gone downhill. My car was stuck in the collision center for over three months with varying excuses from October of 2017 to January of 2018. A new vehicle could have been built from scratch in that amount of time. Then today I was quoted almost $350 for a new door brake, when all that was wrong was a simple loose screw. So BMW of Wilmington just charged over $7000 dollars to replace a transmission with only 80k miles on it. This was caused by a known issue with the 5 Series transmission. They did not even bother to do a basic wash or interior vacuum on the car. It is dirtier now than when I dropped it off. I have a very small repair shop in my back yard and can afford to give my good clients a complimentary wash and vacuum when they spend this kind of money. The staff here are very kind. My service representative was always available to me. But the work that was done on my X5 was questionable. On one visit I had the auxiliary fan replaced. After picking up the car the sensors that let you know how close you are to a vehicle no longer worked and the fan performed the same (not at all) as. before. Unfortunately,I was working temporarily in the area and have not taken my car back to get it rectified. As I said, very nice place and people, I was just dissatisfied with the work.
By far the worst BMW Dealership I have ever been to. Service advisor ignored me for a week. Got an alignment done and afterwards had a noise come from my rear wheel on the driver side. Took it back 5 to 7 times and the problem was never fixed. Had to take it to another dealership because this one was incompetent. The other dealership said the problem was a bent hub and that SCHAEFFER BMW should have caught it. I am now wondering if they accidentally bent my hub when they were doing the alignment. They are rude without a doubt and they are the worst car dealership to go too. The people there don't even support our own troops!
My review is not very good but they will not let the public see it anyway. They delete anything they do not want the public to see. Honesty is always not the best policy at Schaeffer
