Amazing bites! Delicious shareable small plates. Skip dessert. The beet cake was, sadly, a letdown.
Boca is a great place and it has all the pieces of the puzzle to enable a great overall dinner experience. I invited a business team for dinner and the service was great, the ambience was great, the food was delicious but the air conditioning was barely working. Several tables asked the servers to adjust the air to be more climate conducive for a evening summer in Florida but all the attempts were unsuccessful. appetizer - oysters and clams should be taken off the menu: overpriced and poorly prepared unless you like bread crumbs. Amberjack prepared nicely and very good taste.
Food was delicious. Portion sizes were perfect - not too much, not too little. Service was fair - not the quickest, but waiter was friendly. He could have known a little more about the menu. We'd definitely go back, but more of a special occasion type of place.
Our food and, particularly, our service was great. However being seated at table 15 by the door for the fire connection, staff bag stash, and smelly cleaning supplies and buckets was more than a minor distraction as staff passed thru the door every few minutes.
Excellent brunch place! Food is fresh!
I began with the Fried Green Tomatoes. They were excellent. My wife began with the Roasted Bone Marrow. She loved it. I selected the fish of the day (Amber-jack). It was outstanding. However, the mixed vegetables were not quite cooked (this is true of most restaurants, but I prefer mine completely cooked). The risotto was the correct consistency, but was unflavored; it had no taste. My wife had the identical meal with the same results. Our friend had the meat loaf, which was excellent.
We requested James as our server, but he was previously scheduled to work outside and we chose to sit inside. The hostess was extremely patient and accommodating, and we sat at a table inside in the rear section of the restaurant. Matt then became our server, and he did an excellent job. The food was prepared to perfection, and Matt ended our meal with a berry cobbler "on the house." What a treat! James stopped by the table to check on us a few times. We will be back!!
