We didn't get a very good table. They sat us in the bar i think because we were a family with two children. Our children are very well behaved so that bothered me a bit. i had a reservation so should have been seated in the proper dining room.
Awesome steaks! Some of the best I've had in the DC area. One of my favorite spots and will continue to go back!
I feel that I have to give a little positive feedback to a restaurant that seems like it has gotten a lot of bad reviews. I was hesitant to reserve here based on the reviews, but since we were going to be at National Harbor, we decided to "risk it." good steak and crab, other entrees were mediocre. limited menu. great for a drink on the veranda.
The food was great but my favorite part was when our server came out with a tray of fresh bakes chocolate chip cookies! Wow ... Fresh out of the oven!
Great atmosphere. Good service and attentive busers. Bread was really interesting and good. LOVE the fresh mozzarella and fried artichoke. Food was good but the portions were small for the price. My friend's scallops were under-cooked but the waiter took it off the bill. Strawberry cheesecake was delicious. I was hoping for more flavor in my entree since the price was quite high...perhaps this was because the venue, National Harbor, is the upcoming Hot Spot?!?
Dined here for the first time for a special birthday celebration. We ordered the fried artichokes and burrata (artichokes were so-so) and the calamari & shrimp (DELICIOUS!) as appetizers, the lamb & the bone-in ribeye (cooked well, but not the most amazing cut of meat I'd seen. Very busy so service was a little lackluster. So loud couldn't hear waitress very well. Steak and fried calamari were excellent, good size portions. 101 lasagne lacked a little flavor - needed more cheese and or tomato sauce, also didn't come out very warm. Loved being able to see the food prep but some of the sculptures were quite erotic - not good for kids or family restaurant.
The hostess was great, however our server was not so good. He left us unattended for long periods of time. He neglected to bring us our drinks and ask the other person I was dining with if they even wanted a drink. However, the food was really good and the ambience was great. I would not reccomend the dessert. The red velvet cake was nto very flavorful although it looked good and the serving was big enough for two, easily.
