My husband and I had a wonderful dining experience at Bond 45, the food was excellent. I am glad my husband made reservations, I don't believe that walking in w/out them is a very good idea, defiantly plan ahead.
I took my dining companion to the restaurant to celebrate his birthday. The service and food were wonderful. The servers were knowledgable and very attentive. The only negative was that the way the tables are configured in the dining room requires the servers to stand between them to take orders. Of necessity, this means that the guests at the adjoining tables have a server's posterior very close to their beverage and/or food. Great porterhouse, good wine selection.
I was lost when I walked in the front door, no one to greet me, no hostess stand, or direction as to where to find the hostess. It took 10 minutes to get the attention of the hostess. Another concern was with their use of OpenTable. Bond 45 National Harbor does not honor same day reservations that are made after 5PM on OpenTable. I expect a lot better service for the price I paid at Bond 45. This was their second day of business, so I will give them another chance.
