The reservation was to honor my beautiful wife on her 50th birthday. When we arrived, the hostess made us feel as though Royalty had just walked into the restaurant. The night went on positive note from the moment we walked through the doors until the time we departed. Our waitress, unfortunately I do not remember her name was wonderful and extremely accommodating. I didn't understand why check in is nowhere near the entrance.
We love Bond 45! The lamb chops were out of this world and the complimentary polenta was a wonderful accompaniment. My husband had the Scapmi and was very happy with his choice. It was a generous portion and presented well. For dessert, we can recommend either the Tiramisu or the Chocolate mousse. Both are scrupmtious and big enough to share. I can't give enough stars for the service at Bond 45. I had indicated on my OpenTable reservation that we were celebrating an anniversary and when the Maitre'D saw this he made sure we got a quieter table away from the larger groups. We've celebrated our anniversary or birthdays at a number of nice restaurants in northern Virginia and never gotten service as attentive as this. Our experience was outstanding and the food was exceptional.
It's a pricey restaurant but I don't mind spending the money as long as it's worth it. I've dined at Bond 45 three times now and each time I'm wowed by the food. On top of that, the service was phenomenal! I will keep on going back as long as the quality of the food remains superb and please don't lose the exceptional customer service!
We very much enjoyed this new restaurant at the National Harbor. Excellent food and service. Not sure what kind of view we will find when we go there for lunch so can't say but the dinner was wonderful! Our server, Anthony Gomes, was outstanding. We will be back just to see him. Good selection of wine by the glass. That was a nice surprise. We have a new favorite! Bond 45 is a very fine addition to the National Harbor.
Service staff is still a little rough around the edges -- but regardless we enjoyed our experience.
