Dr Boyd is very professional and takes the time with you as a patient. He explains in detail as to what is your diagnosis. Would definitely recommend him.
After being told by several doctors, the surgery I needed was so difficult that they didn't want to attempt it. My knee was bent at a 30% angle. It had been for 19 yrs. Dr Boyd said no big deal and did a beautiful surgery with a very slight scar. He doesn't like his patients to suffer and has an awesome method of controlling the pain. We are so thankful that went to him to get the job done.
Dr.Boyd is an excellent Physician and Surgeon. His experience, knowledge of contemporary techniques, deamanor and compassion are unmatched.
I saw Dr. Boyd in November 2015 and January 2016. While I did not like the news I found him to be professional and provided me with the information I needed to make good/sound decisions going forward.
I would and have recommended him for quite a few people already. My husband and I really like him. He has done knee injections on me and did partial knee replacement on my husband. Very nice doctor.
He does not educate patients about surgical procedures. He just wants to do joint replacements.
Boyd replaced my hip 4.5 years ago and it has caused problems ever since. Repeated attempts to fix have not worked. His office is as poorly managed as his surgery skills. I typically waited 45-60 minutes after my scheduled appointment time before seeing Boyd. I highly encourage you to find another surgeon.
My experience is very similar to Susan B in Greensboro, NC - Mar 07, 2017. My TKR was also in March 2015. I was/am obese. (I don't know if Susan is.) My weight should have disqualified me. I will ALWAYS be dealing with the effects. Dr. Boyd said the main concern with weight was access to the joint and that my legs are fit; my weight is in my belly. BS. I had complications that required 2 additional surgeries, the first one being a non-tracking patella, the later one being to repair a broken kneecap and ruptured patellar tend... read more
Beware. This doctor is terrible. Had to have my hip replaced twice. He blamed the first failure on my smoking although he never mentioned it at all throughout my appointments leading up to this surgery. He does not listen or read. By the second post-surgery visit I kept telling him something was not right. The pain was unbearable and could not be normal. It took him six months to decide the replacement had failed and needed to be redone.
