Get directionsThe community is going through a rough patch. They've had a change of staff, busted pipe and non working hot water heater. Bingo, and music playing are some of the activities available for the residents.
We really liked Bristol Park, it was a super cute set up. She would have been able to access the outdoor area from her room which would have been a plus, but the rooms were very small. They do allow smoking at this facility.
They have staffing problems. The management team is excellent. The bill is different each month, so I have to call to rectify this each time. Having spoke to friends and acquaintances in Amarillo the care is all about the same at the different communities. You just have to stay on top of the care.
Awesome place! Dining room is open 7a-7p. Restaurant style. Residents can eat their meals whenever they want. Apartment has a private door to the outside courtyard. The Community Fee is[fee removed]. !!! That’s just crazy! We were able to negotiate it down. Price is higher than the amount on the information provided by A Place For Mom.
When touring Memory Care facilities for my Dad with Parkinson's Disease, the Bristol Park at Amarillo was very high on my list! While touring I could tell the staff loved their residents and treated them with dignity and respect.
We chose Bristol Park because of the head chef here. He made special meals just for my mom since she was Japenese. When she was in rehab, he even made sushi and sent it over to her. He and my mom had a great relationship. Her favorite part about the community was always meal time. She had a one bedroom and it was good size for her. I would definitely recommend.
We loved Heartis but with the kind of 24/7 care in which our loved one would need, we would be required to hire a home health care agency for any kind of emergency care or RN specialized care. Everything is provided at Where she is now. Our loved one was very sick the morning Heartis had scheduled to assess her. We had to cancel & all our concern & time was devoted to our loved one. If we could have placed our loved one with Heartis I do believe they would have given her good care. They were having to remediate water from th... read more
It's hard to know how to rate Heartis Amarillo. We toured very early in the morning. We saw only 2 employees. While they were not particularly friendly, they were not unfriendly. The sales manager didn't offer anything but answered all of our questions fully & without hesitation. It's a good thing that we knew what questions to ask. We saw only 2 residents. They seemed happy & content. The facility itself is super nice. Wish that they had a brochure that we could take home for reference & study. Know people personally with f... read more
Business response:
Thank you again for taking the time to leave us a review. It sounds like our staff was a little sleepy so early in the morning :D If you have any further questions or want more information about our community, please give us a call at [removed]. We're always happy to help!
My Dad was here briefly and things didn’t quite go well. When we first brought him in, they were completely unprepared and were having staffing issues. We couldn’t get the service that we needed and it didn’t seem like anyone was around. We met with the management, though, and got a lot of our issues straightened out. After that, the rest of the time he was there, the service was pretty good. One of my concerns, however, was that the head nurse seemed to take offense to a lot of our complaints and never checked on my Dad the... read more
