The food was good but we spent over $110 on 3 pretty basic meals - a hot dog, scrambled eggs and a pastrami sandwich. No alcohol or dessert. And the menu wasn’t a diner menu. We expected diner food, a beyond three offerings, it was an eclectic and limited mix of different types of food.

We chose Brooklyn Diner because it's close to Carnegie Hall and we were going to a performance. All the wait staff and front door greeters couldn't have been nicer. And it's a fun atmosphere. But the food was lukewarm--including soup--and neither especially good nor bad. That would be okay if it were a dive deli with bargain prices, but the prices are definitely upscale.

Today’s visit was a disappointment. 5:45 written reservation said one of us would be ordering chicken pot pie. Told it was sold out at 6 pm. Rose lemonade also unavailable. Pastrami sandwich on rye bread with excellent mustard was a very good alternate choice. Spouse liked the Burrata Bowl. Huge slice of Blackout Cake with vanilla ice cream was happily shared and liked.

Always a pleasure to come from Brooklyn and have excellent service, thoughtful attention and understanding pf timing for concert tickets. Prices, typical of what is happening in NYC My guest was pleased.

Their Eggplant Parm was rubbery and stodgy, but Brooklyn Diner is such a comfortable place to meet before a concert that overall it is the place to go in my opinion. The salad was good and their desserts are wonderfully decadent. I find the prices rather high but reasonable considering how close they are to Carnegie Hall.

Very traditional nice place, with good options for brunch and breakfast. The service is good and fast. Really recommend to book a table in advance, specially during the weekend.
