Pricing is ridiculous, they're gouging. My ceiling is at $5.51, and market prices are around $3.60-3.70. They charged me $5.40 a week or so ago, such a rip off. It's cheaper for me to cancel at $399 than it is for me to pay them for the next 2 months. Moving back to buying on the cash market. Don't waste your time with Burke or price contracts, they're never advantageous no matter what they claim.

Pricing is mysterious and when I ask what goes into the approx 60% **** up over the current cost per gallon, I hear vague references to "services" even though I have a service contract that is an additional $300+ a year. I only do the yearly tune up; only time I needed emergency service is when they missed a delivery. **************** would not provide his last name, and then starting asking aggressively what I wanted to do with the account. This is my 22nd year with them and likely my last. Stay away from this company.

Do Not Buy HVAC (Mini-Split) from Burke Energy. Five years ago we contracted Burke to assess adding HVAC to our oil heat only house. They recommended 4 Fujitsu heat pump units with 7 inside units. They worked fine for the first 2 years and then each year one of the units would fail to cool and it was found to be low on refrigerant. This has now happened each year to 3 of the 4 heat pumps and we are now experiencing second time failures on some. The install cost was $27,000. Each time there is a problem a 'general' tech comes... read more

Their most important job is to get oil to their customers. They have allowed us to run out of oil 3 times in the past 2 years, and it may happen a 4th time maybe tomorrow. Maybe it'll be annually. I have been a Burke Energy (formerly Burke Heat) customer since about 1980 (over 40 years), and over the past several years have noted a marked decline in the quality of their services. After we ran out of oil for the 3rd time (and threatened to leave) they said they'd notify us of delivery (which costs them nothing and does not ch... read more

********* 9-25-2020 On Monday September 21st 2020 Burke Energy deliver oil to my house. I have a contract with them for the ceiling price for $3.319 per gallon and will vary based on market price. So the price they charged me per gallon was $2.979. and on this day the market value was around $1.65. I contacted them because my bill was like double the price and they said they couldn’t do anything about it, that was the price. A few days later Josh called me and asked for me to renew my contract for one more year and he would ... read more

0 Star. There price is not transparent. you can not find there oil price online. and they charges $4.3 per gallon, (vs $2.6 per gallon average in my area). Even their customer service agree that I should close my account and switch to other business. Can anyone explain to me why their score is still A+ after so many complains..

We have been customers for the last 2 years, but the house has been serviced by Burke for over a decade. I DO NOT RECOMMEND doing business with this company based on the issue detailed below. (To be clear - this complaint is in reference to their home heating oil pricing and is not related to their service personnel. Their service people are excellent and I've had nothing but a great experience with them. We stayed with them because of their knowledge of our home and system.) Their pricing and billing practices NEED to be in... read more

I've been a loyal Burke customer for 4+ years with 4 oil tanks and propane service for multiple properties I own. Their prices are $.50 or more than the state average consistently. Over the years I've mentioned it multiple times and they would give me discounted deliveries, but I'd have to complain. Same thing with their service contracts. When I finally ended my relationship with them, they gave me a "credit" for unused Propane but charged me to remove the tank making me pay them instead. Also, when you approach them about ... read more

Very poor customer service. Have not honored their promotion that I was supposed to get when I shifted the account to them. Very poor customer service. Will not do business with them ever again.
