Terrible service experience. I closed my account with Burke Energy by speaking with Beverly at Burke on Oct 16, 2018 at 5PM. Sandra from Burke came to my home on Oct 18 to read my tank level and provided me a certificate of the last oil level. I then sold my home. Burke has been sending me invoices for an oil delivery they allegedly make on October 22nd. Home heating oil price is too high. I have a tank that can hold up to 230 gallons, I tried so many times, to negotiate the price, citing other oil companies charges way lower. Forget about it, customer service, no mercy. they are the highest around Westchester-Putnam area. If you sign up for the ceiling price, then expect to pay that price the entire time, even though oil prices go down from time to time, and like I said, they charge the highest oil price in the area. Second time in 3 winters that my tank has run dry even though I am on automatic delivery. Will be finding a new company.
I am very dissatisfied with the quality of service and follow up from Burke Fuel. Their sales department made promises that they could not deliver on. It takes a very long time for customer service to pick up a call. Their dept heads don't follow up. Its been 7 months that I've been trying to resolve an issue and its still not resolved.
Overpriced for oil and service. Horrible customer service and no flexibility. Unfortunately, I agreed to a two year price cap and was locked in for this year unless I wanted to pay a $299 cancellation fee. The cost of my last oil delivery was at the top of the cap $3.209 when other oil companies are charging in the low to mid $2.00 range. Probably would have saved me money to cancel but thought that the prices would go down. Would never use this company again.
I rarely give bad reviews to companies, but Burke really earned this 1-star. I am new to the area, just moved here a little over a year ago. We noticed in our house that our thermostat in the main level wouldn't hold during our first winter. it was not a huge pain, but as we're preparing for the winter this year we figured we'd call Burke and have it resolved. Burke Energy, AKA CODOil/Cash Oil. As the name would suggest, you pay COD. The policy however, is to bill your credit card first then schedule a delivery. This would not be too objectionable, except they can hold you hostage to your order and put off delivery to their convenience. DO NOT USE BURKE.. I REPEAT DO NOT USE BURKE… I would give negative stars if I could.. Ever since they combined with Petro or whatever the whole thing has been a mess… Every month I pay my Oil bill online, all of the sudden the online system stopped accepting my payment, giving me “Too many payment per day” error message which makes no sense cause I am not paying my bill multiple times per day.
