Lovely sitting outside for a pre-theatre lunch. Nice pre-fixe menu, but sadly, not all antipastos were available. Place was understaffed for a busy matinee day. Took a very long time to get our courteous server's attention resulting cool food and in melted gelato by the time it reached us.
Five Stars!!! Fantastic experience under difficult situation!! With horrific traffic we walked into Cafe Fiorello an hour late before a Lincoln Center Show. We had advised them but were worried we would not be able to be served and that we would miss our show. The staff couldn't have been more fantastic. From the concierge , to the gentleman that seated us, to our waiter, Corey, all welcomed us, smiled, and said they would make our dinner work. We had a delicous dinner recommended and served beautifully by Corey, and were in... read more
I have loved this restaurant for 30 years!
Pre-theatre dinner was perfect! No rush but everything came in a timely manner. Mozzarella with prosciutto is a must have. Nice size portions-parmesan potatoes-delicious.Fresh pasta with just the right amount of sauce.
AMAZINGLY GOOD and UNUSUAL SHRIMP SCAMPI PIZZA EXCELLENT TOO
The small section nick-named "Berlin" by the staff is a 5 table oasis, alwyas quiet even if the the restaurant is mobbed.
If you are going to Lincoln Center in NYC, it doesn't get any better than this location. It's right across. We had made reservations for 6:45 p.m. but got there much earlier and the maitre D directed us inside, we were seated immediately. We ordered lasagna, Margheritta Pizza and veal with mushrooms. The lasagna is quite different than your traditional lasagna not deep, very generous portion topped with meatballs. Overall salty. We also order Lemoncello for dessert, outstanding! The Dessert was worth it. The service was medio... read more
Cafe Fiorello is convenient to me and generally well located. I go there often. Nice to eat outdoors. The food and service are not outstanding but good enough, consistent, satisfying and fairly priced. I like to take guests there since it seems to symbolize the NY ambiance especially because of the view of Lincoln center.Perhaps I am blasé at this point. I certainly would be thrilled with the place if I were in my twenties.
I chose this restaurant because of its proximity to Lincoln Center (a 2 minute walk at most) and its late night dining. After seeing War Horse (fabulous by the way) we avoided the après show scramble for cabs and enjoyed a truly wonderful dinner at Cafe Fiorello's. The highlight of the meal was the chocolate mousse dessert. They serve you a huge mound of thick, rich mousse next to a mountain of fresh whipped cream. This is delicious in and of itself, but if you want to take it to the next level, add a shot of Amaretto and st... read more
