Before a Wednesday matinee at Lincoln Centre, six ladies had a great lunch experience at Cafe Fiorello. The antipasti choices made for an interesting and fun lunch. There was a $25 prix fixe for a four- course lunch (salad, pasta, entree and dessert), but the first three "courses" appeared together on one plate. It was worth the price, nevertheless. A party of 7 (4 adults and 3 children) arrived at 11:30 am for an early "Special Occasion" lunch. We were met graciously and seated immediately. Waiter was most helpful in choosing selections, but misrepresented the enormity of the size of servings. (We could have done with half of what we ordered) - HOWEVER - everything was of EXCELLENT quality - and absolutely DELICIOUS! The Pizza Margarita is "to die for"! As busy as they are, they always seem to honor a reservation. I'm a vegetarian so the choices for me are excellent. I recommend it for summer pre-theater or after theater any time. Pre-theater in season is very hectic.
Service a little slow, especially at first. Brunch limited. Antipasti bar truly outstanding. Atmosphere fantastic. Best for locals and regulars.

Good food, service, ambience (depending on where you are seated; some spots are too noisy and tables too close to their neighbors)--but far too expensive for this kind of casual restaurant.
