I have been many times to Cafe Fiorello and have been mostly satisfied, especially lately. The only objection I might have this time is the charge of $17 for a glass of white California Chardonay, even if served in a small, half empty caraffe. I purposely avoided ordering the French or Italian wines knowing that the Californian whitess are not bad and trying to keep the tag low and was very much surprised at the charge of $17, especially on Restaurant Week, more than one third of the cost of the whole meal.
Fiorellos is always great for outdoor dining on a summers day. Usually I order the very thin crust pizza, but this week they had a New York Dining Out lunch special which was fabulous. Stuffed artichoke, shrimp and scallops, pasta salad and greens, followed by a generous helping of raspberry sorbet. Delicious and only $25.
Outstanding pizza. Service inadequate!
As usual, Fiorello doesn't deceive ! We had a delicious meal with pretty good service considering that the place was packed right before a Russian Ballet show. We did not know that it was restaurant week but when the waiter suggested it, we went along with it. They had a big selection of different plates and we were plesantly surprised to enjoy very good food with big portions! Never had such a complete meal within the restaurant week promotion. Wine list was lacking Went for restaurant week, menu was lacking Interior needs an upgrade
Food was ok. Service staff changes over at 5 pm so there was lots of confusion as we had a 7pm time at Lincoln Center. We waited a long time. The drinks and the food were very pricey for the quality received and they messed up our order to boot. We had before dinner drinks at Josephine's next door and the prices were considerably cheaper for the same ambience, drinks and menu.
One always forgets how good the food is here. Although it is a busy place, the service is efficient and cheerful. We had a wonderful dinner here on July 12, 2011.
Good place for dinner before a show at the Lincoln Center. Staff is good about making sure you get what you need in plenty of time. The pizzas are HUGE and could have been shared. (Since they are expensive, it would be good to know this before ordering.)
Quick service - know how to move you along so you can make your engagement at Lincoln Center. Great location for Lincoln Center. The food was fine but not exceptional as was the service. We didn't sit outside but it's a neat location to sit outside.
