This place is so great for dinner before the opera!
Cafe Fiorello has been one of our favorite Lincoln Center area restaurants for many years. Recently, we have noticed a slight reduction in service: knives, forks were not replaced after the salad, salad plates were not removed when entree was served. However, we will continue to recommend it and we will continue to eat there.
We enjoyed our meal. The filet of Sole was excellent. The negative side: It took too long to get the check.
After the theatre we came late to our dinner reservation, but received a very friendly welcome. We had a wonderful dinner - fish cabab a delicious dish with nice side dishes. We also enjoyed Tiramisu also very nice. We drank a 1/2l bottle of wine with our dinner, which was affordable and very good.
Very welcoming, we were seated exactly on time, on a very busy evening, and found the food presented to us both excellent and served in a timely fashion. We would return, whenever in New York.
We took a chance on this restaurant and it paid off. Yes, it was loud pre theater dining but the service was great, the food was great, it was a happy atmosphere and we got to the show on time. We loved it and felt like we were really in authentic NYC!!!
It's literally opposite the lincoln center, which can be a good thing or a bad thing. For us, it was a good thing because we spent the afternoon brunching and then strolled over for our evening performance. Great spot for catching up - not loud and quite comfortable. Great food for brunch and super attentive staff. Over all a thumbs up.
The restaurant was excellent if not overcrowded and noisy. The service was as good as it could be considering the number of people dining there. The waiter was very nice and accommodated us completely by allowing us to split a salad, appetizer and main course, the quanitity of which was just enough for each of us. The food was delicious and the wine was ok. The timing was good. We just made it to our event.
We had a great time. First guest was able to choose a table and be seated before the rest of the party arrived. They were accomodating and prepared an entree that was not on the menu. Dinner was complete so that we were able to get to our performance on time. It does get noisy as the Lincoln Center crowd arrives.
