Amazing food. The best risotto I have ever had.
Conveniece trumps Ambiance: The best feature of Fiorello's restaurant is its convenience to Lincoln Center. My eggplant and pappardella was delicious, but my companion didn't love the veal piccata that was made to order (that was very accommodating). The limoncello pie was delicious for dessert as recommended by another review. The tables are very close together and therefore it is somewhat noisy. They were so busy on a Saturday night that our waiter seemed to forget about us. We looked at our finished dinner dishes for quite some time, had to practically tackle folks to bring us water, dessert menus, and the bill!
We have dined for brunch,lunch and dinner at Cafe Fiorello for the past ten years - it's a must for us each time we visit NYC. We've taken our grandchildren, our kids and just ourselves after the Saturday night opera across the street. Last Saturday night, however, was a special occasion for us. We flew to NYC for our 42nd anniversary and we had tickets to Lucia at the Met. Food was great - service very good
While the entrees on the menu are normally solid and they were again this time, the best part of Fiorello's remains the incredible array of antipasti. Don't miss it.
