Fantastic - what an enjoyable lunch!
Some portions are TOO big especially for pre-theatre dining. Two of our guests ordered veal Milanese. This is usually a veal chop with salad on top. Not here - it was a piece of veal pounded to a pizza size portion with a very small salad on the side. They are known for their antipasto but it is priced a la carte and becomes quite pricy.
This was our first visit, and we were impressed. The menu offers a great selection, and the food is delicious and attractively presented. The fried artichoke is magnificent. Service is friendly and attentive. This is a wonderful pre-performance choice for Lincoln Center ticket holders.
Solid very good Italian food. Great pizzas. The veal milanese is a signature dish, and always fantastic. Great service, solid wine list. In a city where we try to venture for new dining experiences Fiorello's is one we keep returning to.
Their signature pizza was fabulous - crust crispy and so thin it was almost like paper. Only problem is you felt hungry later! Profiteroles to die for, choc sauce amazing. Actually ate the remaining sauce, it was like liquid pudding. I ordered the antipasto sampler and the eggplant parmesan which was supposed to be hot was served cold and the waiter never came back until the end of the meal. We went there before the Opera and had a great experience. We were offered our choice of tables Youtside, window or quiet/romantic. Service was so prompt that we were concerned we would be done so quickly, weLd have too much time to kill before the OperaJ However, we were able to slow things up with dessert. Highly recommend the Chocolate Mousse for two - delicious! All in all, great experience and would go there again.
Our second time there and both times it was excellent.
I have been to Fiorello before and loved it...the only problem was that the table was on top of the table next to it and there is no privacy for conversation...but that seems to be the situation in NYC everywhere.
Perfect place to dine before or after Lincoln Ctr event. Fabulous food, superior service....enjoyed the dinner much better than we enjoyed the opera!
