crowded, noisy, vibrant, fast-moving - so if you can take that, it's great. PERFECT location for pre-lincoln center show

Wewent on New Year's Day before an 8:00 opera at Lincoln Center. We had a 6:30 reservation but arrived early, at 6:00, and were seated by 6:20. We went for a pre-opera dinner on New Years, it was very crowded and it was fun but not elegant. Great pizza but it is fit for 4 people. The menu left a lot to be desired but the pizza was excellent.

really good, but too expensive for what is offered. for example, pizza for one person is $32

A neighborhood stalwart of a certain classic New York style. The food is very good. Nice wine list (though they could use more lower-priced selections). Our server was very personable. There's a reason this place has stayed so busy through the years. The only real downside is the prices, which skew higher than they need to. Go when you're prepared to spend.

Packed, but they managed to honor reservations within minutes of the booked time and offered glasses of prosecco to those waiting

Even at Lincoln Center-area prices, our dinner at Cafe Fiorello was very enjoyable. The food was very good, service fine, and only the crowded, even tight seating kept it from being a more notable dining experience.
