Cafe Fiorello is an institution across the street from Lincoln Center, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch on the weekends. Fiorello's is a great spot for pre-theater dining. Open late each night, the restaurant is also perfect for a post-theater dinner, a light bite at the antipasto bar, or cocktails and dessert.

Great food, lively atmosphere. Perfect spot before or after an event at Lincoln Center or any occasion. We had lunch before seeing South Pacific. We were in and out in plenty of time without being rushed. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. There is something for everyone on the menu. Be prepared though, the menu is definitely pricey. Would most certainly return.
Great pre-theatre, if you have a reservation. Excellent wait staff.
Service for our table was slow for Mother's Day lunch. Other tables seemed to be proceeding at a fairly normal pace, however. It turned out to be more of a "European" than "American" lunch experience, which was fine, because we weren't overly hungry or in a hurry. Staff are uniformly friendly. Water is replenished regularly. Steak ordered medium was really medium rare and with a tendon down the middle, but very tasty. Overall it was a mixed dining experience.
We enjoyed our dinner so much, we are returning to dine at Cafe Fiorello's again tonight.
WE LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THE RESTAURANT. WE TRAVEL TO NEW YORK SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR .....THIS IS ONE OF OUR FAVORITE..... ACTUALLY HAD DINNER TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW. THE BEST ITALIAN MENU, CAROLINE KIKI DUGAS
We arrived early and were seated in a booth in a corner which was great. It took a long time to get water and menus etc. which was somewhat disturbing because there was a group of wait staff just standing there as if waiting 'till a specific time to start work. It's a lively spot and great for pre-matinee brunch before the Met. But the food was marginal at best. Bread basket was tastier than my nicoise salad with yellowfin tuna. Dressing consisted of a nice olive oil but no acidic portion in the way of vinegar or lemon juice... read more
It was my first visit, and my partner's one of many visits. The reservations, the service, the food & atmosphere were what one expects from a solid restaurant experience. Very busy, as one expect for Saturday evening, and with acceptable noise levels...again what one expects in NYC pre-opera time, Saturday. WE WILL RETURN!!
We try to visit New York City once a year to enjoy an opera at the Met. As part of our experience, we look forward to an excellent lunch. We weren't disappointed by our visit to Cafe Fiorello. The food and service were wonderful.
Cafe Fiorello is our favorite "go to" restaurant when we are in the Lincoln Center area. We are greeted warmly when we arrive. Should there ever be a short wait, Marco the maitre'd graciously offers delicious chocolates and a glass of champagne to tide you over. And then there is the food - DELICIOUS! The only downside is that the restaurant is a tad noisy.
