I have been to Cafe Fiorello many times. This time it was for lunch and it was underwhelming. Sorry to say the service was dreadfully slow and the restaurant was far from busy. The food was so so. Just not what I expected after so many good experiences.
Besides our service being very slow and multiple apologies from the manager the food here is excellent. We just happened to have walked past this place around lunch time a few months ago and had to come back. A little disappointed that the manager didn't throw in a free drink or dessert due to their very slow service, but it won't stop me from coming back again. Awesome Sangria too!
Great food ,fun spot
We always go there before we attend an event at Lincoln center. The food is always great. Always packed at 6pm on a Saturday. Great if you don't mind the crowds. Just tell your waiter that you have to be at the Philharmonic at 7:30 and they'll rush the food.
Antipasto (caponata and mozzarella) was great, as was bread basket. However, the veal piccata was horrible - veal was underdone, not browned at all and the sauce had sherry in it. Terrible!!!
Upon entering the restaurant we were well greeted and seated quickly. Our server was friendly and informative on the menu. The meal service was served at a relaxing pace, we enjoyed each course as it arrived. I had the lamb shank and my wife had the diver scallops. Both presentations were a work of art and tasted just as good. Looking forward to returning with our friends.
Food is great. Waiters helpful. Tables are a little cramped, but it adds to the ambiance. Desserts are fantastic! Great location if you attend the opera.
Usually good service and very accommodating with special requests. No specials on menu on this occasion, which is rare for a Saturday evening.
Good food and service, but not exceptional in a city full of great Italian restaurants. The key is Fiorello's proximity to Lincoln Center. A fun place to go and mighty convenient before the opera or concert.
