This is not easy to write. Humiliating even. But I need to share it for others out there that may have been living in same and fear like I was. I am the parent of a fat dog. Like badonkadonk fat. She is half pug and half beagle and she has had a thyroid problem that makes it tough to get the weight off. It is entirely my fault and I live with the shame. The reason I mention that is because bringing a fat dog into an animal hospital is a humiliating experience. That is why I wanted to leave a YELP review for California ... read more
This place is amazing! Last year in July 2017 my dog collapsed and was not able to walk. She had slipped disk and was paralyzed in her back legs. We did emergency spinal surgery at accessanimalhospitals.com, but 2 weeks after the surgery the doctor said she still has no deep pain sensation and will never walk again. We came to CARE a month after surgery to get therapy and wheelchair, but they recommended to just do therapy and hold off on a wheelchair. After a lot of therapy and a few month later the dog started walking! S... read more
I took my dog to the vet because he was in so much pain, yelping and can barely walk. They took X-rays and it showed that he has collapsed vertebrates and spinal issues. The doctor recommended we take him to see a neurologist for surgery and gave us the specific hospital we should go. Long story short, I read the yelp reviews of that place and was horrified by all the negative reviews. We decided we didn't want to put him through surgery and frantically searched for a dog therapist. We stumbled upon this place and after read... read more
I just had my first appointment with CARE and it went great. Oliver had back surgery due to slipped disc and we're teaching him to walk again. They did some acupuncture on him and have the best staff. The doctor was very caring and thorough. I feel great about the future with Oliver walking again knowing there is a place like this around to maintain his healthy back.
Love this place. Everyone genuinely cares about my pet Nani. When I first brought her in she was paralyzed and couldn't walk and now she can. I am a strong believer of everything they do for her.
Let me start off by saying this. This place is NOT cheap. Any vets located here in West LA are highly priced due to the location. I have come to terms with this a while ago. I brought my 5 y.o. corgi in due to an small limp she was having for awhile. We did a 2 hour initial evaluation to check her overall muscle function. Their conclusion was that she has some neck pain, lower back pain and developing arthritis. Which is not too bad considering there could be a worse possibility like a torn ligament. We were suggested 8 ses... read more
My dog has been receiving therapy at CARE following a TPLO surgery and some following complications. This place is truly an awesome resource for pets. The level of professionalism is top rate and all the doctors, techs, and assistants are honest, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. Our dog has come back strong from a very bad situation. Thanks to all at CARE!
Everyone at California Animal Rehabilitation, from the front desk personnel to the techs to the PT to the docs, are amazing. Their compassion and dedication to improving the quality of life for their patients melts my heart. I just have to say to my dog, "it's time for PT and to see your friends," and she gets excited, tail wagging, excited. She loves coming her to see her friends! Thank you California Animal Rehabilitation for taking such wonderful care of our pup.
Where do I start with the accolades for CARE? Absolutely everyone here is amazing and helpful. I love the front desk ladies, the physical therapists, the doctors and the assistants. They are all amazing and really love animals (and it shows). Our Baby (20 year old Russian Blue cat) was having mobility issues and was given an overdose of gabapentin by an emergency vet at another facility. She was paralyzed from the neck down and we were devastated. After only one week of their wonderful treatments (Laser treatment, ac... read more
