I used to go to this vet hospital until my dog was sick and needed X-rays. They charged me $1300 with NO warning. When I complained I was told the X-ray tech could not get a good picture. That is completely unprofessional and absurd to think everyone who walks in the door can afford $1300. I had to use my rent money! Needless to say I never went back. Shortly thereafter the hospital had massive construction done no doubt at the overcharging done to the clients. Shameful.

Interesting that Paul, the owner, was very much aware of my concerns while I was trying to get my dogs' records from there but didn't bother to directly reach out, instead -- the staff redacted names of the vet providers from their records that were copied and eventually mailed to me after much back and forth (which I'm not sure is acceptable to do, we can't do that to people's medical records, I'll have to check that) and told the front desk (according to his front desk) to fax the records to me, even though I don't have a ... read more

Business response:

Good afternoon Marissa, I wanted to take a moment to address some of your concerns. I am sorry that you feel that we did not communicate well or clearly with you during this episode. We are striving to improve our communication within the hospital and will continue to do so. During that week we had a Doctor out on vacation and a relief veterinarian was filling in. While these relief vets are fully licensed, qualified and very skilled doctors, they are not full time, long term employees of the hospital. As a result, they may... read more

First thank you everyone for sharing your experiences with Canton Veterinary Hospital and specifically with this Vet. Since we posted about our tragedy there so many of you have shared similar experience. To me, it's just insane why this person is still in practice. We continue to receive IM's about the status and what's happening next so I'd like to share with you the latest developments. This past week we were offered five thousand dollars for the cost of our beloved Pickle. $5,000. Five thousand dollars and a no... read more

Being new to the area we were looking for a vet for our 2 dogs. The front staff was less than friendly which was an immediate turnoff. The doctor was very nice and seemed to be genuinely interested in our dogs. It was suggested that one of our dogs get the Lyme vaccination and we were told that she would have to come back in 3 weeks for the booster. When we returned in 3 weeks we were charged for another annual recheck up even though it was unnecessary and all they did was check the dogs weight along with the vaccination. Wh... read more

As a kid my parents brought our family dog here and it was amazing. Now that Dr. Andrianni is on his way to retirement it has clearly affected the business. My wife and I adopted a dog about a year ago and decided to bring her to Canton Vet. We quickly realized that the communication between the staff/receptionists and doctors is lacking. On numerous occasions we would have to call them to follow up on results etc. Furthermore there is a strong lack of compassion by most of the people in the office with exception of Dr. Cala... read more

I have gone to Canton Veterinary Hospital for 20 years. I knew Canton Veterinary Hospital when you were just a small little white house on the corner of the street. Darlene and Mary would greet us with a hello and ask how we are doing today. Check us in and call us by name. Give us updates when they were running behind and when we had to wait for the doctor. I recently brought my pet for a 1 week f/u visit, requested by the doctor due to his concern of one of my pets test coming back unsatisfactory at her yearly phy... read more

I had to write a review as the place is no longer the place that the reviews say. I used to love the vets and felt comfortable having my dogs boarded here. But the staff and the vets have become more and more unfriendly. The final straw was picking my dogs up last week after a 6 day stay. One of them was covered in urine and some poop AS THEY HANDED me my dog. The tech mentioned that they had just been fed but hadn't eaten much of their meal. So I know she had just been by their kennel. My dog has white fur so urine is hard ... read more

Although Dr. Scott is fantastic the business practice is not. Today we had to bring our dog in for a follow up booster for Lyme disease. They charged me for a check-up even though he had a full check up 3 weeks ago. $72.00 for a booster. I am never going back.
