I know NOTHING about medication or health insurance, but dad got ill & mom barely knows any English, forcing me to learn all of this stuff on the fly. Case Manager, Rolly, has been VERY helpful & patient, guiding me through all of this.

Arrived late in the afternoon at the facility by ambulance, from a hospital after having a Pace Maker being implanted in my chest. I was Ushered in by ambulance attendants on a gurney thru the halls to a dark dingy room. Having arrived in the room a screaming patient was being attended by nurses that had problems speaking English. At that point I made a emergency phone call on my cell phone to my wife to extract me post haste. Leaving by private auto Ii personally felt I had escaped with my very life. Papers (Pace Maker P... read more

It's the worst and saddest time I've ever experienced. Mom has COPD and this last bout landed her in the hospital for a very long time. Rehab was the next stop due to being bed ridden and intibated for so long. I thought Canyon springs was going to be a gift from god so close to our home. It was NOT! It actually turned out to be the devils house. The paramedics dropped her off 10 min before I got there. (Traffic). The BI PAP mom must have was not there and I was promised it would be there by 9pm by the case manager Rolly ... read more

Business response:

Debbie, Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'm so sorry to hear about your mother's health situation. And, I'm disheartened to hear that her BiPAP did not arrive on time for her admission. My team and vendors are typically highly reliable but it sounds like we missed the mark in this situation. Please give me a call if you are willing to chat. I'd love to learn more so that I can better address the situation. Benton, Administrator

My dad was brought from the hospital to Canyon Springs following being diagnosed with non-treatable cancer. The release papers clearly stated that he had a DNR/DNI order and that he was on comfort care. He was clearly not capable of filling out the paperwork however they gave him the paperwork to fill out and he just checked the first box in every section on the form allowing for all kinds of medical procedures he did not want. When I inquired about the form I was told "They said he could fill out his own forms". No one ... read more

My dad was here for about 3 weeks last October. This facilty is not an acute rehab. They treat clients as long term nursing home. There was no therapy. My dad walked in there without even needing a cane, and three weeks later he lost over 10 lbs and lost so much muscle on lower extremeties that he can barely walk. I asked the facility to please keep me posted of his progress and not once did I get a call, and when I called I usually got the run around. This facilty need a lot of work. Please dont send your loved ones ... read more

My grandfather was taken to this skill facility two days after his gall bladder removal surgery. There were clear orders by the M.D to clean his wound and his jp drain for a fast recovery. Unfortunately none of this was done causing him an infection. The RNs were not aware of my grandfathers condition or medical history. It seems like they did not care for their patients or the elderly they show no sympathy. Very poor quality of care.My grandfathers health only worsened ,To make this story short my grandfather was admitted t... read more
