I am a friend or relative of resident My mother-in-law had to come to this facility afree falling a fracturing her hip. This resulted in a two month stay at Care One in Whippany. I cannot say enough about the staff, Dierdre, Michael, Benedict and Shirley were so helpful. Not all facilities have this level, I have seen others that were pretty bad. This place is a gem, if you are local.
I am a friend or relative of a resident They told me when my mother went in Care One that they accepted Medicare. After she was discharged, they had a bill for over $4000. They were saying that Medicare didn't pay for her room and board and they wanted me to pay it. They waited months and months and months before they sent this bill. I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident The rooms .. the bed , the chairs everything seems very old. The food is inedible not something I would feed my family. The staff does not communicate easily with family unless you go above and demand it. Many nurses and staff constantly switching roles or just vanishing so communication is difficult during an already difficult time. Staff does not seem invested in patients.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident Rooms are nice especially if you are not sharing with anyone Service is not good as some nurses and staff are rude and if you complain, there will be a backlash. We had to sign out AMA as her night care was getting dangerous.
Other my Mom passed out while she was there and I was never notified until I visited and inquired why she had an IV. Shortage of help at facility . The facility house physician NEVER returned any calls I left with his office. Look elsewhere !
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident Although this facility is beautiful, that is the only thing positive about it. The staff is unhelpful, unfriendly and uncaring. When I asked the receptionist where my relative’s room was, she pointed in the direction of rooms and said “right up there.” The nurse that was assigned to my relative was extremely rude. Lack of staff, 10 patients to one nurse! Totally understaffed. Horrible, Care One NOT!

Some apathetic employees choose to “change diaper” rather than bring patient to toilet. My brother fell while there. He is conversant and no man should have to pee on himself.
